1. Introduction
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing a registration from Daytona Private Plates Ltd (“Daytona”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
By enquiring about or purchasing a registration from us, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
2. About Us
Daytona Private Plates Ltd is a UK-based company specialising in the sale of privately owned current-format registration marks.

We are the registered holder of every registration advertised on our website.
3. Nature of Our Business
3.1 We sell registrations that we own outright.
3.2 We do not act as a broker unless explicitly agreed in writing.
3.3 We do not advertise registrations we do not control via a valid DVLA certificate (V778 or V750).
3.4 All sales are conducted directly between Daytona Private Plates Ltd and the purchaser.
4. Pricing
4.1 All prices are listed in GBP (£).
4.2 Prices may be changed at any time prior to a sale being agreed.
4.3 A registration is not reserved until payment has been received in cleared funds.
4.4 In the event of a genuine pricing error, we reserve the right to withdraw the registration from sale.
5. Payment Terms
5.1 Payment is made via UK bank transfer (BACS).
5.2 Full payment must be received before any transfer process is initiated.
5.3 Ownership of the registration does not pass to the purchaser until cleared funds are received in full.
5.4 We reserve the right to decline or cancel a transaction at our discretion prior to transfer.
6. Transfer Process
6.1 All transfers are completed via the official DVLA online portal.
6.2 Registrations may be:
Assigned directly to a vehicle, or
Assigned to the purchaser via a V750 certificate (where applicable).
6.3 The purchaser is responsible for ensuring:
The vehicle is eligible for transfer under DVLA rules
The registration is not used to make a vehicle appear newer than it is
6.4 We are not responsible for DVLA processing delays outside our control.
6.5 Once a transfer has been completed with DVLA, the sale is considered final.
7. Purchaser Responsibilities
7.1 The purchaser must provide accurate information during the transfer process.
7.2 It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure compliance with:
DVLA regulations
Road legality requirements
Number plate display laws
7.3 Daytona is not responsible for misuse of a registration after transfer.
8. Cancellation & Refunds
8.1 Due to the nature of personalised registrations, once a transfer has been completed, the sale cannot be reversed.
8.2 If payment has been made but transfer has not yet been initiated, cancellation may be considered at our discretion.
8.3 Any administrative costs incurred prior to cancellation may be deducted.
8.4 Registrations purchased for business use may not be eligible for statutory cooling-off rights.
9. Title & Risk
9.1 Legal title passes only upon:
Cleared payment
Completion of DVLA transfer
9.2 Risk transfers to the purchaser upon DVLA confirmation of assignment.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
10.1 We are not liable for:
Indirect or consequential losses
Loss of profit or opportunity
DVLA administrative errors
Delays outside our control
10.2 Our total liability shall not exceed the purchase price paid for the registration.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including branding, text, scoring frameworks and presentation materials, is the property of Daytona Private Plates Ltd.
No content may be reproduced without permission.
12. Website Use
You agree not to:
Use this website unlawfully
Attempt to interfere with site functionality
Copy listings or proprietary valuation material
We reserve the right to restrict access where misuse occurs.
13. Privacy
Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We use reasonable security measures, but all data transmission is at your own risk.
14. Anti-Fraud & Compliance
We reserve the right to:
Request proof of identity for high-value transactions
Refuse a sale where fraud or suspicious activity is suspected

The version published on our website at the time of purchase will apply to that transaction.
